WOLF ENTERTAINMENT PARTNERS WITH PINNA—REALM’S KIDS AND FAMILY VERTICAL—TO LAUNCH FIRST CHILDREN’S PODCAST SERIES
Wolf Entertainment, the production powerhouse behind some of television’s most iconic crime drama universes including Law & Order and One Chicago, is teaming up with Pinna/Realm, to launch its first children’s property—an audio series entitled Patrick Picklebottom: Everyday Mysteries. Inspired by the beloved children’s book series of the same name by author Jay Miletsky, the podcast will debut with two episodes on October 14th on all major podcast platforms, with the first four episodes available to Pinna subscribers.
Patrick Picklebottom: Everyday Mysteries follows the adventures of a precocious 11-year-old with a love for reading and an uncanny ability to solve mysteries. Each episode presents a new neighborhood riddle for Patrick and his friends to unravel, encouraging young listeners to sharpen their critical thinking and analytical skills alongside the young detective.
The first season will consist of eight episodes. According to Dick Wolf, President of Wolf Entertainment, “As the company behind some of the most iconic crime stories, it was only natural to share the excitement of solving mysteries with kids. Patrick Picklebottom is the perfect place to start.”
The podcast’s case-of-the-week format ensures a new, engaging mystery is presented in every episode. This structure provides a unique opportunity for listeners to participate as “detectives-in-training,” identifying clues and deducing the solutions to the puzzles presented. “We’re honored to partner with Wolf Entertainment for their first foray into Kids & Family storytelling with this wonderful series,” said Molly Barton, CEO of Realm. “It’s a perfect fit for our Pinna families who love to bring high-quality and engaging audio into the car and kitchen.”
“As an author, there’s nothing more exciting than seeing my characters jump off the page and come to life. Having the opportunity to create this podcast with the team at Wolf Entertainment has been an incredible experience,” said Jay Miletsky. “I can’t wait for kids everywhere to have access to Patrick Picklebottom and his adventures in a completely new way.”
The podcast premieres on October 14 with the first two episodes available on all podcast platforms and the first 4 episodes exclusively available to Pinna subscribers. New mysteries will be released weekly. Fans can also enjoy Patrick’s adventures in print—the hardcover Patrick Picklebottom books arrive this fall. Get your copy HERE and follow along in person.
