The chart-topping Sony Music podcast Where There’s A Will There’s A Wake, hosted by national treasure and all-round mischief-maker Mel Giedroyc, today announces a one-off live show in London's West End.
Join Mel and her yet-to-be-announced guest (we’re dying to tell you who) for the ultimate send-off on 16th December at the Adelphi Theatre, London.
Mel has led a star-studded line-up of celebrity farewells since taking up her role as Mortician-in-Chief on the podcast in May.
Working on the assumption that they’ve already popped their clogs, her podcast guests reveal all: how they’ve died, what they want for their funerals, and why Mel should be unlocking the pearly gates for them.
Now, she brings that macabre magic to the stage, asking a special guest about their dream demise in front of a live audience.
We’ve already heard Angela Scanlon’s plan for a full potato wake buffet, Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s disco-ball death wish, and Eric Idle’s explicit eulogy request. The live show promises even more outrageous exits – expect the unexpected as Mel and company laugh in the face of death.
And, in true Where There's A Will There's A Wake fashion, the evening will end with a no-holds-barred audience Q&A. Audiences should come prepared with their burning questions...
Mel Giedroyc says: "What better place to stage a great big knees-up about death than the West End? I’ll be dusting off my halo (and maybe my pitchfork), and leading a very special guest to their dream send-off at the Adelphi."
Tickets are available for Where There's A Will There's A Wake subscribers from Tuesday 16th September. General sale begins today with tickets available at fane.co.uk/will-wake-mel
