Louis Theroux returns with new podcast series and major guests
Spotify today announces that series six of The Louis Theroux Podcast, the much-loved show from one of the UK’s most distinctive interviewers, will launch next week on Tuesday 7th October.
Louis is back with another stellar list of some of the most intriguing and accomplished names in entertainment and beyond. Guests appearing in this series include Academy Award-nominated actor Florence Pugh, comedian and writer Steve Coogan, Monty Python comedy icon Michael Palin, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai and legendary musician and Talking Heads frontman David Byrne – alongside other major guests still to be announced.
Since its launch in 2023, The Louis Theroux Podcast has become home to some of Louis’ most talked-about interviews. Series five featured Ed Sheeran on his deep sense of cultural Irishness, Bella Ramsey on the debate around gendered award categories,Sean Penn reflecting on Hollywood and politics and Little Simz, who memorably turned the tables by challenging Louis at his own game of silence.
The back catalogue has also delivered unforgettable moments: from Paul Mescal and Sharon Stone, to Barry Keoghan, Nick Cave and Tracey Emin, alongside headline-making episodes with Armie Hammer, Mia Khalifa and many more.
Louis has a knack for getting big-name guests to open up in ways they rarely do elsewhere. Conversations on the podcast shift from playful to poignant, often within the same episode, and it’s these moments that have hooked listeners worldwide and kept the podcast at the top of the charts.
