Comic Sans Season 4 Launches - A Comics Podcast for the Curious Returns
This Thursday, hosts Myle Yan Tay and Nathaniel Mah return with a brand new season of Comic Sans, the beloved podcast that makes comics fun, thoughtful, and accessible for everyone - from first-time readers to lifelong fans. Now in its fourth season, Comic Sans continues its mission to explore comics from around the world like classic crime stories and romcom sports manga to postcolonial vampire tales. Each episode dissects a new comic, unpacking its storytelling craft, visual language, and emotional power through insightful (and often hilarious) discussion between a seasoned comics reader (Yan) and a page-flipping newbie (Nat).
Season 4 features a mix of acclaimed and new titles, including Through a Life by Tom Haugomat, Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees by Patrick Horvath, A Map to the Sun by Sloane Leong, Rare Flavours by Ram V & Filipe Andrade (with guest comic critic Ritesh Babu), and Do a Powerbomb! by Daniel Warren Johnson. The season also includes a special shopping spree episode recorded for the Laydeez Do Comics Online Comic Fair. Past guests of Comic Sans include a wide range of creators and critics from across the comics world - cartoonist Molly Mendoza, Pulitzer-nominated illustrator Renren Galeno, comics critic ML Kejera, comedian and graphic novelist Jordan Morris, and cartoonist and educator Beth Hetland, among others.
Comic Sans breaks down how comics work - panel by panel. The result is a show that’s equal parts insight, laughter, and pure comic-book joy. Come for the art appreciation, stay for the comic book club vibes with your funniest friends. “Quote from someone at Andas” New episodes drop biweekly starting October 9th on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Castbox, Amazon, Pocket Casts, and wherever you get your podcasts.
