The first episode of “Fifteen: Inside the Daniel Marsh Murders” will premiere across all platforms next Wednesday
Realm, the podcast-first digital media network, today announced the relaunch of Mike and Tom Eat Snacks, the internet's most beloved (and arguably most important) podcast hosted by longtime friends and actor-comedians Michael Ian Black (Wet Hot American Summer, The State) and Tom Cavanagh (The Flash, Ed). After a brief, yet utterly tragic, snack-less hiatus since 2023, the show—lovingly known as MATES—has found a new home at Realm. In addition to launching the first ever premium offering, Realm is producing the show in audio and video and representing for 360 monetization.
Mike and Tom Eat Snacks built its devoted following on a brilliantly simple premise: Mike and Tom eat snacks and talk about them. What started as a humble idea quickly morphed into a podcasting phenomenon, thanks to the duo’s deep commitment to snackology, and undeniable comedic chemistry. "I'm hungrier than ever, and snacking is a tremendous way to get fit. And what better way to work out than alongside a best bud, under the warm and welcoming Realm umbrella,” said Tom Cavanagh. “I’m just excited to eat something,” said Michael Ian Black.
The relaunch will feature brand-new weekly episodes, available in both glorious audio and eye-popping video formats, hitting all your favorite podcast platforms and YouTube. Realm and the hosts are also rolling out The MATES Club, a premium subscription offering designed for the true snack superfans. Members will unlock access to bonus episodes, ad-free listening, extended cuts, exclusive "snack-along" experiences, and behind-the-scenes content. “Working with Mike and Tom to delight their MATES audience in new ways has been a blast, not just as fans, but as partners in reimagining what a beloved show can become,” said VP of Realm Mary Assadullahi.
“We’re looking forward to bringing snacks back to their rightful place in the cultural zeitgeist.” And for those who've been craving a trip down memory lane, Michael Ian Black and Tom Cavanagh will also be revisiting the show’s rich back catalog with carefully curated archival episodes and freshly recorded introductions.
In true MATES fashion, fans can expect surprise "Wacko Snacko" episodes, theme-based snack explorations, and the kind of delightfully off-the-rails hilarity that cemented the show as a podcasting classic.
New episodes of Mike and Tom Eat Snacks will be available every week starting September 3, 2025, on all major podcast platforms, the shiny new MATES YouTube channel, and for the truly devoted, inside The MATES Club via Supporting Cast and Apple Podcasts Subscriptions.
